Move your number to LoopChat
If your WhatsApp Business number is currently with another WhatsApp provider, you can move it to LoopChat. The screens vary a little between providers, but the steps are the same.
What’s involved
Section titled “What’s involved”- The WhatsApp Business Account your number is registered in now
- The phone number you want to move
- Your LoopChat account
Step 1: Turn off two-step verification
Section titled “Step 1: Turn off two-step verification”Two-step verification must be off for the number you’re moving. Meta won’t release a number that still has a PIN.
- Open WhatsApp Manager.
- Go to Phone numbers.
- Open the number’s settings.
- Find Two-step verification and turn it off.
If the only option you see is to turn it on, it’s already off and you can carry on.
Step 2: Create your LoopChat account
Section titled “Step 2: Create your LoopChat account”Sign up at app.loopchat.in. See Create your account.
Step 3: Connect the number
Section titled “Step 3: Connect the number”Follow Connect WhatsApp. When you choose the WhatsApp Business Account that holds the number, Meta moves it as part of the process.
Step 4: Turn two-step verification back on
Section titled “Step 4: Turn two-step verification back on”Once the move is complete, turn two-step verification on again in WhatsApp Manager. It protects your number, and Meta requires it for the green tick (Official Business Account).
Moving a number back to the WhatsApp app
Section titled “Moving a number back to the WhatsApp app”To take a number off the WhatsApp Business Platform and use it in the WhatsApp Business app or personal WhatsApp, Meta requires that:
- All payments due are cleared
- The number hasn’t sent more than 1,000 messages in the last 30 days
Otherwise Meta refuses the request.
How to ask
Section titled “How to ask”Email hello@loopchat.in from your registered email address, and tell us the number you want to release.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”- We check the account for anything outstanding.
- Messages on the number are paused.
- We tell you the date the number will be released.
- We raise the request with Meta.
- We keep you updated until it’s done.
After that, the number can be used in the WhatsApp app or registered again on the WhatsApp Business Platform.
