How opt-in is applied

LoopChat checks Campaign Opt-in every time a marketing message is about to go out, whichever way it’s sent.

When a broadcast goes out, opted-out contacts are skipped automatically. You don’t need to filter them out yourself.

The broadcast’s report shows how many were skipped, for example Skipped — no marketing consent, and a banner listing the opted-out contacts who were skipped. So if 10 of 1,000 selected contacts are opted out, the broadcast goes to the other 990 and the report tells you why.

Every marketing template is checked before it’s sent, wherever it comes from: a bot, a journey, the inbox or the Developer API. If the contact is opted out, the message isn’t sent.

Utility and authentication templates, such as order updates and one-time passwords, are not blocked. A customer who opts out of marketing still expects to hear that their order has shipped.

Normal replies within the 24-hour window aren’t affected. If a customer who opted out messages you, your team can still answer them.

On the Leads list (Pipeline, Table view), the Campaign Opted Out filter shows exactly who is excluded. When you export contacts, the campaign_opted_out column shows yes for each one.
