Before you connect
LoopChat uses the official WhatsApp Business Platform from Meta. Before you can connect a number, Meta needs a few things in place. Getting them ready first makes connecting take minutes instead of days.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”A Meta business portfolio
Section titled “A Meta business portfolio”Your business’s presence across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp lives in a Meta business portfolio (formerly Business Manager). It’s free. If you don’t have one, create it at business.facebook.com, or create it during the connection steps.
A business website
Section titled “A business website”Meta uses your website to confirm your business is real, and it gives customers a place to find you. See what your website should show below.
A phone number
Section titled “A phone number”Use a business phone number that can receive a call or text message for verification. Personal numbers can’t be used, and the number must not be active on WhatsApp anywhere else while you connect it.
Get the number ready
Section titled “Get the number ready”Make sure you can receive the code
Section titled “Make sure you can receive the code”Meta sends a code to the number by text message or call. Make sure you can receive it, and that the number isn’t linked to the WhatsApp Business app or to another provider while you connect.
If the number is currently on WhatsApp on a phone, remove it from that phone first: open WhatsApp and go to Settings → Account → Delete my account. Or use a different number for LoopChat if you want to keep the current one on your phone.
Sign in with Facebook
Section titled “Sign in with Facebook”During setup you sign in with the Facebook account that manages your business. Using your existing business portfolio keeps setup short and avoids duplicates.
What your website should show
Section titled “What your website should show”To pass Meta business verification and unlock higher sending limits, your website should clearly show:
- Who you are: your business name, logo and contact details.
- About us: what your business does and how it works.
- Privacy policy: how you collect, use and protect customer data.
- Terms of service: terms that match how you actually work.
- Contact and support details: how customers reach you.
Verification goes faster when your website clearly belongs to the company named in your documents.
